7 Oct – As uncertainty continues to cloud the reopening of cinemas in most parts of the world, major Hollywood players are forced to continuously reshuffle their release schedules.

Not all the reshuffled release dates bring bad news, however. Case in point, Sony Pictures is bringing forward its action fantasy film, "Monster Hunter".

As per ComingSoon.Net's report, the Milla Jovovich and Tony Jaa-starrer that's originally scheduled for release on 23 April 2021 in North America have moved to an earlier date – 30 December 2020.

The action movie takes over the slot previously occupied by "Escape Room 2", which has now been postponed to a yet-to-be-determined date in 2021.

Meanwhile, the Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard-starring "Jurassic World: Dominion" will no longer be stomping onto the big screen next year. Originally set to open in North American cinemas on 11 June 2021, it has now been delayed a year to 10 June 2022.

With its production halted since March this year due to the pandemic, it is likely that the "Jurassic World" threequel will not be able to complete post-production in time for a 2021 release, hence the move.

The official Twitter account of "Jurassic World" shares this "Jurassic World: Dominion"
poster that bears the updated release date.

Another 2021 movie that has also been pushed to 2022 is Robert Pattinson's "The Batman", moving from 1 October 2021 to 4 March 2022. Taking over its October slot is "Dune", after the Timothée Chalamet-starrer is postponed from its original 18 December 2020 date, according to Variety.

Meanwhile, Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss' "The Matrix 4" is being brought forward from 1 April 2022 to 22 December 2021.

Ezra Miller's "The Flash", with its 3 June 2022 slot to be taken over by a yet-to-be-announced movie, has been moved to 4 November 2022, replacing Zachary Levi's "Shazam! 2". The "Shazam!" sequel will now open on 2 June 2023.

Interestingly, Dwayne Johnson's "Black Adam" has been taken off the release schedule, along with "Minecraft", the movie adaptation of the popular titular video game.

Despite the abovementioned reshuffling, Warner Bros. has so far not rescheduled "Wonder Woman 1984" again, which currently still sits at its latest release date, Christmas day 2020.
