13 Nov – Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff a.k.a. Scarlet Witch and Paul Bettany's Vision will finally be making their small screen debut in just a couple of months. "WandaVision", the six-episode Disney+ original series starring the eponymous duo, has confirmed 15 January 2021 as its official release date on the streaming platform. The good news was revealed in a tweet by Disney+, which is accompanied by a new teaser, as seen below.

This places the series back in its original release year. It was initially scheduled for release in 2021, before it was announced earlier in January that it was being brought forward to this year. Last July, rumours started circulating that it was going to be delayed to next year, as the production on it had been disrupted by the current global pandemic. Fans held on to the hope that the rumours were not true and it will still air this December, but this latest announcement finally confirms that the delay is inevitable. Plot details on the series have remained under wraps, the only synopsis Disney+ has to offer so far is: "The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision-two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives-begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems." The new date means "WandaVision" has now overtaken "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier", which was originally meant to be the first MCU Disney+ series to be released on the streaming platform. The six-episode series, starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan's titular characters, was delayed from its original August 2020 when the pandemic halted its production earlier this year. It's currently undergoing reshoots and will only be releasing next year.
