19 Nov – Fans have been wondering when "Wonder Woman 1984" will finally open in cinemas, now finally AT&T Warner Bros have confirmed that the movie will be released worldwide this 16 December (17 December in some territories).
According to a report by Reuters, the release date is only for cinemas outside of the US, where the Gal Gadot-starrer will instead be released simultaneously in cinemas and on HBO Max on 25 December.
The good news no doubt made DC fans all hyped up to watch the "Wonder Woman" sequel in cinemas next month.
Cinema Online reached out to Warner Bros Malaysia (WB) for comments. However, WB is unable to provide any statement regarding the release at the time of writing.
"We are unable to comment at the moment. However, we will announce the local release date once it's confirmed," a WB rep stated.
The Patty Jenkins-directed movie was originally slated for release last June, but it faced several postponements due to cinema closures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
