15 Apr – Ajay Devgan was revealed to have halted the shooting of his upcoming movie, "Mayday".

The actor-director, who started filming the movie in Hyderabad in December last year, decided to take a short break from it for the safety of his cast and crew, following news of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in India.

Despite the halt, it is noted that the movie has already shot most of its scenes, with the last schedule to be shot in Doha where the cast and crew would stay for three days in order to complete it.

Featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Street Singh Angira Dhar and Devgan himself, the movie revolves around a true story that happened in 2015, when a Doha-Koch flight landed in one of South India's airports due to poor visibility.

The movie is scheduled to be released in April 2022.

On the other hand, Ajay Devgan has several other projects to be released soon, including the OTT war actioner "Bhuj: The Pride of India" and the sports movie, "Maidaan".
