17 Aug – Danny DeVito is making his comeback to the Batman franchise...

...as a comic writer, that is!

The actor, who played Penguin in the 1992 Tim Burton-directed, "Batman Returns" is set to make his debut as a comic author with DC Comics' "Gotham City Villains Anniversary Giant".

Penguin was first created in 1941

The upcoming all-new story will be featured as a part of a larger anthology in celebration of Batman's villains and Penguin's 80th anniversary as a villain.

No information has been revealed as to what DeVito's Penguin story will be about. However, since his version of Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin died at the end of the 1992 movie, the story may be different than DeVito's previous iteration.

The upcoming comic book story is to be a one-shot that will be due out this November.
