1 Jun – Just as previously announced by Zack Snyder, there will be an upcoming prequel spin-off of his Netflix movie, "Army of the Dead" that will revolve around popular character Ludwig Dieter.

As reported on Screenrant, the upcoming movie, titled, "Army of Thieves", will have German actor Matthias Schweighöfer reprise his role as the aforementioned safecracker, though the movie itself will explore his back story prior to the zombie outbreak.

According to producer Deborah Snyder, the upcoming movie will be a "romantic comedy" of some sort, with "Game of Thrones" actress Nathalie Emmanuel starring in it as Gwendoline - presumably playing Dieter's love interest.

The upcoming film will also star Nathalie Emmanuel of "Game of Thrones" fame

It is noted that in "Army of the Dead", Dieter was first introduced as a safecracker working at a place called Gwendoline's Safe & Lock Co. - which could have been named after the character that will be played by Emmanuel.

Speaking about the project, Schweighöfer expressed, "I just finished a prequel for my character, so everything is in that film. But the biography was that Dieter was - I can't say that, because it's a spoiler alert. You will love the prequel. His way to America is awesome. It's crazy."
