17 May – Jackie Shroff has recently signed on to star in an upcoming international project by India, France and Singapore.
The Bollywood actor, who rarely plays the lead in recent years, reportedly will be doing so in a movie about a man from Goa who goes to France to launch a sensational music career after meeting a French musician.
It is said that the film will be inspired by the life of Joseph Manuel Da Rocha, also known as Slow Joe. The upcoming film will be helmed by Soumik Sen of "Why Cheat India" and "Gulaab Gang" fame, and will be made in three languages - English, French and Konkani.
It will be shot in several locations including Goa and Paris.
On the other hand, the actor's most recent film is the Salman Khan-starrer, "Radhe". He has also recently completed filming another Akshay Kumar cop movie, "Sooryavanshi".
