4 Oct – Lily-Rose Depp has been cast in the upcoming HBO drama, "The Idol", making it her first television work. The actress, who is the daughter of actor Johnny Depp and French actress Vanessa Paradis, will be joining The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) who was already cast in the said project earlier this year. The upcoming drama will revolve around the relationship of a pop singer and a charismatic club owner, who is later revealed to be a leader of a secret cult. While no confirmation has been given by HBO, Lily-Rose and The Weeknd are rumoured to play the pop singer and the club owner. It is noted that while this will be her first series, Lily-Rose has already starred in several movies, and will appear in this year's "Voyagers" alongside Tye Sheridan as well as the Keira Knightley-starrer, "Silent Night".
