1 Dec – The ladies are screaming for joy now after it has been confirmed that Channing Tatum will be returning as Mike Lane in the third instalment of the "Magic Mike" franchise. The news was confirmed by the said actor on 30 November, who shared a screenshot of the script with the title, "Magic Mike's Last Dance", writing, "Well world, looks like Mike Lane's tapping back."
The upcoming movie will also see the return of director Steven Soderbergh, with the script by Rein Carolin. It will also premiere exclusively on HBO Max. Said Toby Emmerich, Chairman of Warner Bros. Pictures Group, "Is there anybody on screen more charismatic and appealing than Magic Mike? We're thrilled to be back in business with Channing, Steven and their creative team to bring back Magic Mike's wonderful combination of dance, drama, romance and humour." It is noted that the first two films grossed nearly USD 300 million worldwide, spawning the stage show, "Magic Mike Live" in Las Vegas that has now branched out internationally to even the UK and Australia.
