28 Jan – Following the success of her HBO series, "Lovecraft Country", Misha Green is set to make her directorial debut as the new director for the upcoming "Tomb Raider" sequel movie. The television writer, director and producer stepped up after Ben Wheatley, who was originally on board to helm the film, was revealed to no longer be involved - though no reason was given as to why the "Rebecca" director departed.

Alicia Vikander will be returning as the titular character, Lara Croft. However, no further details have been released regarding the storyline, casting, or even filming. On the other hand, Ben Wheatley will be focusing on directing the sequel to 2018's "The Meg".
