1 Oct – The upcoming Warner Bros.' "Wonka" musical movie has added more big names into the mix with Olivia Colman, Rowan Atkinson and Sally Hawkins joining the cast. According to Deadline, the three British actors will be joining other cast members that include Tom Davis ("Paddington 2"), Rich Fulcher ("Marriage Story"), Keegan-Michael Key ("Schmigadoon!"), Matt Lucas ("Little Britain") as well as another addition, Jim Carter ("Downton Abbey"). It is noted that the movie previously cast Timothee Chalamet as the titular character, with Paul King directing the said movie.
It is noted that the film will revolve around the titular character prior to the events of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", as he embarks on his journey to establish his place as a chocolatier. Hawkins' most recent work is the Lady Diana biopic, "Spencer", while Atkinson is last seen on the big screen in "Johnny English Strikes Again". He is also best known as the lovable Mr Bean. On the other hand, Colman is soon to be seen in Maggie Gyllenhaal's new directorial effort, "The Lost Daughter".
