18 Oct - Despite the lacklustre review of "Wonder Woman 1984", director Patty Jenkins recently confirmed that there will be movie number three. In a conversation with original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter at the virtual DC FanDome 2021 event, Jenkins indirectly admitted that there is "Wonder Woman 3" when Carter mentioned about it at one point in the conversation, saying, "You can't wait to hear my not talking about." She later stated that she is excited about the third film. "Gal, who is so bummed not to be here, who is the busiest person in the world with now three little kids and shooting, she's so bummed not to be able to be here. But we are all three very excited about some exciting things coming up with Wonder Woman 3."
On the other hand, Carter seemed to tease about her own participation in the third film, saying, "Who would have thought in my life at this time in my life that this gift would just present itself to me, and that's so cool." It is noted that Carter previously appeared in a mid-credit scene in "Wonder Woman 1984", in which she was revealed to be Asteria, a legendary warrior who stayed behind in man's world as Zeus created Themyscira.
Jenkins, who helmed the previous two "Wonder Woman" movie, is also set to work on "Star Wars: Roque Squaldron".
