15 Jun – It looks like Salman Khan has really been enjoying Ravi Teja's movies, as it was reported that the actor-producer has now bought the rights to the Telugu movie, "Khiladi". The actor, who is currently working on several projects, reportedly has approached original director Ramesh Varma to work on the movie, with the idea of him in the lead role. The Telugu-language action crime thriller stars Ravi Teja in a dual role alongside Arjun Sarja, Unni Mukundan, Meenakshi Chaudhary and Dimple Hayathi. The film's teaser was released in mid-April in anticipation of its scheduled release in the theatres on 28 May, but its release is now shelved due to the ongoing lockdown. However, Salman must have been pretty impressed by it to make his offer to director Ramesh Varma.
However, there is a possibility that the Hindi version of the movie would be renamed, as the title Khiladi is already synonymous with Akshay Kumar. Prior to "Khiladi", Salman has also remade Teja's previous 2009 film, "Kick" into a 2014 film of the same name.
