1 Dec – Following Yahya Abdul-Mateen II's departure from George Miller's "Furiosa", it was reported that Tom Burke has been cast to replace the said actor.

Although there has been no information as to what Abdul Mateen's role would have been in the new "Furiosa" movie, the actor recently announced that he had to part ways with the project due to scheduling conflict.

Burke will be joining Anya Taylor-Joy, who will play the titular character, as well as co-star Chris Hemsworth.

"Furiosa" will be an origin story of the titular character, which became a fan favourite when she first appeared in "Mad Max: Fury Road" (2015) and portrayed by actress Charlize Theron.

This also marks the first major studio film for Burke, who previously played Orson Welles in Netflix's "Mank".

On the other hand, Abdul Mateen will be seen next in "The Matrix Resurrection", followed by 2022's "Ambulance" and "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom".
