11 Feb – Adam Driver has been cast in the upcoming Michael Mann movie, "Ferrari". The said actor will be playing the titular role himself as racing mogul Enzo Ferrari, who, in the summer of 1957, decides to bet on the one race, the Mille Miglia, which runs a thousand miles across Italy, after facing bankruptcy on the company he and his wife built. Driver, most known for his performance as Kylo Ren/Ben Solo in the "Star Wars" sequel trilogy and the 2021's "House of Gucci", will be joined by Penelope Cruz and Shailene Woodley – the latter to play his mistress, Lina Lardi. Driver replaces Hugh Jackman, who was originally cast to play the role.
Said Mann, "Being able to have these wonderfully talented artists, actors Adam Driver, Penélope Cruz and Shailene Woodley, bring to life these unique characters on location in Modena and the Emilia-Romagna is a vision fulfilled." Aside from directing it, Mann also wrote the movie alongside Troy Kennedy Martin ("The Italian Job") based on Brock Yates' "Enzo Ferrari - The Man and the Machine".
