26 Aug – It looks like Warner Bros. and DC are making changes to its release schedule again, as it was revealed that "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" and "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" are both delayed in its release dates. It was revealed that the second instalment of "Shazam!", which was scheduled to release this December, will now be opening on 17 March 2023, a slot which was previously occupied by "Aquaman 2".
Meanwhile, the Jason Momoa-starrer, who previously added Ben Affleck's Batman into the mix, will now be opening on Christmas Day 2023. "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" director David F. Sandberg took to Twitter to address the change, stating that the change was in part to avoid competing with James Cameron's "Avatar: The Way of Water". "While I'm an impatient bastard who wants people to see it as soon as possible (the film will be fully done in just a few weeks), the move makes sense since Avatar was taking all IMAX/PLF screens. Fury of the Gods is a big movie & should be seen big!" he wrote. "And Hey, it's still three months earlier than our first release date!"
