3 Feb – Benedict Cumberbatch is set to play a role in an upcoming sci-fi movie "Morning" alongside "Little Women" star, Laura Dern. The upcoming movie, which will be directed by Justin Kurzel, takes place in a world with no night, where medication makes it unnecessary for people to sleep and technology can simulate 24-hour daylight. The synopsis read, "Ambitious and driven Cathy (Laura Dern) was an early advocate of a sleepless world, but as she and her son Danny (Noah Jupe) pick up the pieces of their lives following the death of her husband Frank (Benedict Cumberbatch), she finds the universe she helped to build is starting to crumble around her, whilst memories she fought so hard to repress are bleeding into her waking life. As Danny is further drawn into a subversive underworld of dreamers, Cathy must confront her nightmares and fight hard not to lose her son."
The upcoming movie is one of the first projects Cumberbatch is involved in this year. The actor, who was most recently seen in "Spider-Man: No Way Home" and "The Power of the Dog", will be seen next in "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" in May. On the other hand, Dern's upcoming movie include "Jurassic World: Dominion", in which she will reprise her "Jurassic Park" role, Dr Ellie Sattler.
