12 Jul – Good news, Marvel fans. It has recently been revealed that the studio has now found a director for the upcoming fourth instalment of "Captain America". According to THR, Marvel has hired Nigerian-American filmmaker Julius Onah to direct the fourth film, which will see Anthony Mackie making his big screen debut as the new 'Cap following the events of the Disney+ series, "Falcon and the Winter Soldier". It is noted that it was in the said series that Mackie's character Sam Wilson/Falcon finally accepted the shield and mantle previously helmed by Steve Rogers (played by Chris Evans).
It is noted that Evans' Captain America storyline ended in 2019's "Avengers: Endgame", when the character decided to stay in the past with his long-lost love, Peggy Carter. Onah is perhaps best known for helming the 2018 thriller "The Cloverfield Paradox" and the Naomi Watts-starrer, "Luce".
