7 Jan - Amid the multiple allegations of sexual assault against Chris Noth, it was revealed that the actor's cameo on the "Sex and the City" revival, "And Just Like That" has been cut. Noth's role of John Preston/Mr Big in the original HBO series was already killed in the first episode of the revival, but the actor recently shot a scene in the finale, where sources say has Carrie travelling to Paris to scatter her late husband's ashes from the famed Pont des Arts where the two shared a romantic moment in the series finale. Big was supposed to appear next to her in that scene, but the producers decided to cut his cameo in the wake of the sexual assault allegations. HBO Max declined to release any statement regarding the decision.
It is noted that Noth was accused by two women of assault, with one saying that the actor assaulted her in 2004 in Los Angeles, and the latter saying that she was attacked in his apartment in New York in 2015. The actor then released a statement saying that the allegations are "categorically false" and that they were both consensual.
Soon after, a third woman, singer-songwriter Lisa Gentile, claimed that Noth assaulted her in 2002, and proceeded to advocate for changes to New York's statute of limitations in sexual assault cases. The actor had since been dropped by his agents at A3 Artists Agency, and from his series, "The Equalizer".
