24 May – Another Marvel entry is making record in the pandemic era, as "Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness" is now crossing the USD 800 million in global box office. The movie, which was released in early May, has scored a USD 342.1 million in US alone, with the rest of the USD 803.2 million coming from international box office. This means it has now surpassed "The Batman", which made USD 768.5 million at the box office when it was released back in March.
The film also became the second Marvel movie to have achieved that following "Spider-Man: No Way Home" last year, the latter which broke pandemic era record with USD 1.89 billion. On the other hand, the next Marvel movie to come out would be "Thor: Love and Thunder", which is set for release in July.
