12 Jan – The cast of ABC's hit '90s sitcom, "Full House" recently expressed their shock and sadness over the death of Bob Saget, the patriarch of the Tanner family.

On 10 January, the cast of the show shared a photo from their previous reunion on their respective Instagram accounts, and wrote, "Bob made us laugh until we cried. Now our tears flow in sadness, but also with gratitude for all the beautiful memories of our sweet, kind, hilarious, cherished Bob. He was a brother to us guys, a father to us girls and a friend to all of us. Bob, we love you dearly. We ask in Bob's honor, hug the people you love. No one gave better hugs than Bob." ~ John, Dave, Candace, Jodie, Lori, Andrea, Scott, Jeff, Ashley and Mary-Kate."

In addition to the joint-statement, the actors also took to social media to express their sadness, with Candace Cameron, who played Saget's eldest daughter DJ Tanner in the sitcom, writing, "I love you sooooo much. I don't want to say goodbye. 35 years wasn't long enough."

Jodie Sweetin, who played the second daughter Stephanie, shared a longer tribute to the actor, then added, "I would always say "you're the best TV dad ever". And he was. I'll miss you, Bob. I'll make sure and tell an inappropriate joke at your funeral. In your honour. I know you would've wanted that. But you were supposed to be here longer... How Rude."

Canadian comedian Dave Coulier, who played Joey, expressed, "I'll never let go, brother. Love you."

Meanwhile, the show's biggest stars, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who jointly starred as the youngest Tanner member, Michelle, released their own statement that read, "Bob was the most loving, compassionate and generous man. We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has. We are thinking of his daughters, wife and family and are sending our condolences."

Saget was found dead on 9 January in his Orlando hotel room following a stand-up gig. He was survived by his wife Kelly Rizzo, and three children - all of whom he shared with ex-wife Sherri Kramer.
