19 Oct - Following rumours of his introduction to Marvel, it was confirmed that Harrison Ford will now be taking over the role of Marvel's General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross.

The "Indiana Jones" star, who is replacing William Hurt following the veteran actor's passing early this year, will be appearing as the character first in "Captain America: New World Order", which will have Anthony Mackie playing the new Cap'n.

It is noted that Hurt first played the role in 2008's "The Incredible Hulk", before he went on to reprise the role in various Marvel movies until 2021's "Black Widow".

The upcoming "Captain America: New World Order" will be directed by Julius Onah and penned by "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" creator, Malcolm Spellman.

The movie is scheduled to be released in May 2024.

Meanwhile, Ford is also returning as Indiana Jones in the upcoming fifth instalment, which will be released in June next year.
