12 Sep – Pixar gets fans excited as it announced that there will be a sequel to its hit 2015 animated feature, "Inside Out". Sharing the news during a panel at Disney's D23 Fan Convention, its star Amy Poehler, who voiced the character Joy in the original, stated that the movie will be directed by Kelsey Mann of "The Good Dinosaur" fame from a script by one of the original writers, Meg LeFauve. "I read the script and it's amazing," she said.
The sequel is also revealed to be about Riley, the human protagonist of whom the five basic emotions of Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust are a part of - as she becomes a teenager and new emotions coming into the fold. The upcoming film will tentatively be released in 2024.
