14 June – R Madhavan has one more thing to be proud of, as his directorial debut, "Rocketry: The Nambi Effect" was showcased on one of the big LED billboards in New York.

The actor-director, who has been promoting the movie around the United States for 12 days, recently revealed that the film trailer lit up the Nasdaq Billboard at Times Square from 8.45 PM to 9 PM on 11 June.

In attendance at the location was Madhavan himself alongside the subject of the movie, ISRO space scientist Nambi Narayanan.

"It is all very surreal!" said Madhavan about the said screening. "Time has gone by so quickly. It feels like it was only yesterday we were shooting the film and now, here we are, a few days away from the film's release, screening the trailer on the world's most coveted billboard!"

"With God's grace, I'm thankful for all the love and affection we have received so far. We are looking forward to seeing you in the theatres on 1 July!" he added.

Directed, written and starring Madhavan as the titular icon, the upcoming movie revolves around the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation, who was falsely accused of espionage.

There have been many interesting things that have been happening since the promotional tour starts, including the city of Stafford, Texas declaring 3 June as Nambi Narayanan Day.
