28 Apr – Warner Bros. has recently unveiled the first official picture of its upcoming Mattel film, "Barbie". The said image, which was released during the CinemaCon held in Las Vegas, has lead actress Margot Robbie driving Barbie's signature pink Corvette, while she herself is donned in a blue summer dress, her blond hair parted sideways in true Barbie fashion. Although it was unclear, the background seemed to be an image of Barbie's dream house.
Not much is known about the movie except that it is directed by Greta Gerwig of "Lady Bird" fame, and co-stars Kate McKinnon, Simu Liu, America Ferrera, Ariana Greenblatt, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, Hari Nef, Issa Rae, Michael Cera, Will Ferrell. On the other hand, Ryan Gosling also stars in the film as Barbie's partner, Ken. "Barbie" is set to be released on 21 July 2023, which will coincide with Christopher Nolan's biopic, "Oppenheimer".
