13 Dec – It looks like Michelle Yeoh is one step closer to that Oscar Best Actress nomination, after it was revealed that the Malaysian actress has been nominated for the upcoming Golden Globes Awards.

The actress, who is nominated for her performance in "Everything Everywhere All At Once", will be competing in the Actress in a Musical or Comedy Motion Picture category alongside other contenders that include Anya Taylor-Joy ("The Menu") and Emma Thompson ("Good Luck to You, Leo Grande").

Other competitors are Margot Robbie ("Babylon") and Lesley Manville ("Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris").

On the other hand, her movie has been nominated in five categories, including Ke Huy Quan in the Supporting Actor category, and the two Daniels - Kwan and Scheinert - in Director of a Motion Picture category.

The upcoming awards will be hosted by comedian Jerrod Carmichael and will be telecast on 10 January.
