5 May – Disney+ is celebrating Eid with Muslims around the globe with a new poster for the upcoming Marvel series, "Ms. Marvel".

On 2 May, the Ms. Marvel official Twitter account tweeted an image by illustrator Shehzil Malik, in which the character is holding a crescent moon with the words "Eid Mubarak" written in the Arabic letters.

"May this Eid bring strength, love, and light," the post read. "Ms. Marvel, an original series from Marvel Studios, starts streaming June 8 on DisneyPlus."

It is noted that Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan is the first Muslim female superhero to be introduced in the Marvel universe. Played by Iman Vellani, the character is described as a Pakistani Muslim teenager growing up in Jersey City dealing with her newfound superpowers.
