5 Oct – Following his now viral "Deadpool 3" announcement video, Ryan Reynolds is now expressing elation over his upcoming collaboration with good pal, Hugh Jackman. In an interview with Forbes recently, the topic of Jackman's Wolverine joining the third film was mentioned, to which Reynolds said that he couldn't be more excited to do it that way. "Ultimately, I get to work with some of my closest friends in the world and that doesn't happen every day working in this business. I'm thrilled, and I've been sitting on those couple of teasers for a few weeks now," he said.
Reynolds admitted that he was truly anxious with excitement upon releasing the video to the world, as he was "messing with the zeitgeist". "It's been amazing. I feel the same way that the fans do, though. I feel as excited that this character is coming back for another ride, particularly in this context. I think it's something that people have wanted for a long time, to get this pairing up on the big screen, and that's what we aim to do," he added. It is noted that the last time Deadpool and Wolverine met was in the 2009 "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", though it was not the Deadpool that Reynolds envisioned it to be. On the other hand, Jackman was last seen playing the character in 2017's "Logan" before announcing that he would retire from the role.
