29 Sep – Now that it is without its director, it is no surprise that Paramount has taken "Star Trek" out of its scheduled theatrical release. The film, which was announced to the surprise of many during the Paramount Global Investor's Day by JJ Abrams back in February, was previously scheduled for a 9 June 2023 release, before being delayed to 22 December 2023. However, last month, Matt Shakman, who was hired to helm the film, departed from the project to work on Marvel's "Fantastic Four", leaving the movie without a director. The upcoming movie was revealed earlier to star original cast members including Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto, with scripts by Lindsey Beer and Geneva Robertson-Dworet. No new date has been announced for the time being.
