19 May – Hairul Azreen recently admitted that he has always enjoyed working with filmmaker Adrian Teh, especially on their new movie, "The Assistant". The actor, who was able to travel to the Far East Film Festival in Udine, Italy to promote the new movie recently, stated that he loved the fact that Adrian was always on a mission when it comes to his works. "Each and every one movie of his is different, and who knows, he might do an action flick next. His team too, they are very disciplined and really good with their time. There was never a delay in filming. If the call time is at 6 in the morning, it will end at 6 in the evening," he said.
Hairul said that the discipline shown on set made it easy for him to cooperate, which is why he has already worked with the director five times. "It's really hard to find a production such as Adrian and his team," he said. As to whether the movie will have a sequel, Hairul said that he doesn't know what to say about that. "We don't even know how it will be at the box office. If the movie is a success, I'm sure there will be a sequel," he added. "The Assistant" stars Iedil Dzuhrie Alaudin as Zafik, who is imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit. After losing everything, he meets Feroz (Hairul Azreen) who seems to always show up at just the right time. As time goes on, Zafik begins to wonder about Feroz's true motives. The action-thriller opens today in cinemas in Malaysia and Singapore.
