16 Jan - After being snubbed by the Golden Globes, Brendan Fraser is finally back to bagging home a Best Actor award for his performance in "The Whale".

The actor, who has won accolades left and right for his performance in the Darren Aronofsky movie, picked up another victory at the Critics Choice Awards, which was held on 15 January in Los Angeles.

"The Whale is about love. It's about redemption. It's about finding the light in a dark place," said Fraser.

He also thanked Aronofsky in his speech, saying, "I was in the wilderness, and I probably should have left a trail of breadcrumbs. But you found me and, like all the best directors, you merely just showed me where to go to get to where I needed to be."

Fraser was previously nominated in the similar category at the Golden Globes, but lost to Austin Butler, who won for his performance in "Elvis".

However, he has been winning multiple accolades in various festivals, 18 awards to be exact, including from the Las Vegas Film Critics Society and the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
