6 Jun – In another case of celebrities reversing from previous positions, Dwayne Johnson has recently announced that he will be reprising his role as Luke Hobbs.
The actor shared the news on 2 June in a video he shared on Instagram, saying that it was hard keeping the secret that Hobbs will be returning, and that he was happy to see the reactions from fans when they found out that his character is coming back when they watched "Fast X".
"The next Fast & Furious film you'll see the legendary lawman in will be the HOBBS movie that will serve as a fresh, new chapter & set up for FASTX: Part II," he wrote in the caption. "Last summer @vindiesel and I put all the past behind us. We'll lead with brotherhood and resolve - and always take care of the franchise, characters & FANS that we love."
"I've built my career on an "Audience First" mentality and that will always serve as my North Star. Congratulations to my Fast Family & Universal Studios on the global success of FAST X and as always, Hobbs & @SevenBucksProd are motivated to help take the Fast franchise to new and exciting places for fans worldwide," he added.
The news was taken positively by fans, including "Fast X" new addition Jason Momoa, who plays the villainous Dante in the said movie. The actor commented, "HIIII DADDY. I'm ready... and waiting."
