"Ejen Ali The Movie" goes to Indonesia

21 Feb – It looks like another one of Malaysia's animated features is entering Indonesia, as it was revealed that "Ejen Ali The Movie" is now showing on the country's Jakarta-based station Rajawali Televisi (RTV).

Elated by the opportunity, director and WAU Animation CEO Usamah Zaid Yasin stated that the success of the movie proves that local animation has its own value and quality.


"We are honoured to find that Ejen Ali The Movie will be aired in Indonesia. This is a good benchmark for animated features since it will be aired free for the first time in Indonesia," he said.

Usamah added that they are excited to see viewers' reaction to the said movie.

On the other hand, RTV's CEO Artine S Utomo stated that they are excited to be airing the movie, adding that they are committed to bringing in high quality content for viewers in Indonesia.

"We hope that viewers will continue to support us as we bring more quality shows from all over Southeast Asia," she added.

"Ejen Ali The Movie" has been airing in Indonesia on the free-to-air channel simultaneous with video on demand platform since 18 February.

"Titanic" was recently re-released in 3D
The movie made RM30 million when it was released in 2019
