12 Dec – It's been 22 years since "Dil Chahta Hai" was released in cinemas, and Farhan Akhtar finally returned to one of the locations where the movie was shot. On 10 December, the filmmaker, who made his directorial debut with the movie in 2001, shared a photo of him and director Shujaat Saudagar at the Chapora Fort, and wrote, "First time back at Chapora Fort since we filmed Akash, Sid and Sameer talking about life. That was 23 years ago."
"A lot has changed but the warm, sea-salt infused Goan air remains the same. Some places are just magical," he added.
The said fort, which is located in Goa, is one of the places where the characters of Akash (Aamir Khan), Sid (Akshaye Khanna) and Sameer (Saif Ali Khan) hung out to talk about life in the movie. It had since been one of Goa's tourist attractions aside from Anujana Beach. Based on Farhan's own diary during his trip to Goa, "Dil Chahta Hai" stars Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Akshaye Khanna as three college best friends who each have their own issues in their romantic lives. It also stars Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni and Dimple Kapadia.
