22 May – It looks like the "Fast and Furious" franchise is still a favourite among many, as its tenth pole, "Fast X" made a debut of 318.9 million globally at the box office.

Although it didn't do as well domestically, with USD 67.5 million in its opening weekend, the movie was a big hit internationally, with a huge USD 251.4 million at the box office.

That means, the movie is now the second biggest global debut after "The Super Mario Bros.", the latter which opened with USD 377 million.

Meanwhile, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3" has now accumulated USD 659.1 million overall after earning another 80 million at the box office last week, while "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" is now the third biggest animated film of all time with USD 1.248 billion, taking over the original spot from "The Incredibles".

"Fast X" was originally slated as the penultimate movie and the first half of a two-parter, with the second one to be released in 2025. However, lead actor Vin Diesel recently hinted that there could be another movie, ending the franchise not at 11 but 12 movies.
