5 Dec – It seems that some fans' tendencies of throwing things at celebrities are getting out of hand, as Florence Pugh recently found out. The actress recently attended the Comic Con event in Sao Paulo, Brazil alongside her "Dune: Part Two" co-stars, when a flying object hits her straight on her face.
In a video that went viral online, Pugh can be seen standing with her co-stars including fellow new addition Austin Butler, when something came flying from the audience and hit her. Butler, who was next to her, can be seen flinching as well, as the actress crouched down to retrieve the said item.
It is uncertain what the object was, and the actress' camp has yet to release a statement regarding the incident. However, fans who saw the video couldn't help but express disgust over such behaviour. "Time to start threatening people with arrest and assault charges if they throw things at people. That's what it is," said one netizen. "Horrible," said another. "I won't blame these artistes if they stop doing these events." This is not a one-time thing, as such behaviour from fans have been recurring in recent times. Harry Styles was hit in the eye after a fan threw Skittles at him during his performance in Austria, while Cardi B slammed a fan for flinging a drink at her on stage by retaliating with her microphone.
