1 Nov – Astro Shaw announced today that RM1 from each ticket sale of the film "Gemencheh Boys" will be donated to the Humanitarian Trust Fund for the People of Palestine (AAKRP) starting 30 October 2023.

Executive Producer Gemencheh Boys and Vice President, Head of Astro Shaw & Malay Nusantara Business, Raja Jastina Raja Arshad said, "This donation initiative is made to help the Palestinian people. We hope that this effort will show that we are all behind Palestine in their struggle. May this aid ease the burden of those who are affected in Gaza."

"Gemencheh Boys", distributed by Astro Shaw together with GV Corporate Advisory and SOL Pictures, has been playing in cinemas throughout Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei since 26 October.

Based on a true story, the movie tells the story of the six 'rascals' during their school days. Their hijinks are known not only in school but among the people in the village. In an effort to turn them from their errant ways, their teacher Cikgu Azman, works to guide and encourages them to join the school cricket team which sets them on a course that would change their lives.
