31 Oct – The upcoming Henry Cavill "Highlander" reboot will begin filming in 2024.

The upcoming project, which has received a major budget of over USD 100 million, will be helmed by "John Wick" director Chad Stahelski and will be based on the 1986 original starring Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery and Clancy Brown.

In a previous interview, Stahelski stated that the reboot will be a prequel setup to the Gathering.

"I love the original, I know it's dated in certain ways but I love the vibe and the mythology. So my take on it would be to somehow maintain the vibe and mythology and feeling of the first movie. Not go off the rails with too much plot, and really develop the world of the immortals," he said.

It is noted that "Highlander" has spawned four more movies after the first one, as well as a TV series, an animated version, several books, as well as video games.
