6 Jan – While a lot of people are elated to see Ryan Reynolds making it to top 15 of the Academy Awards' Best Original Song category, good friend Hugh Jackman is just annoyed by it. The "Wolverine" star recently took to Twitter to express his annoyance about the recent shortlist, much to fans' delight, saying that he wanted to send out a positive message at the beginning of the year, only to have the news of Reynold's "Good Afternoon" song from "Spirited" making it impossible. "Don't get me wrong, I love Spirited, it's a great movie. The entire family watched it ... I love Will [Ferrell], I love Octavia [Spencer], obviously I did The Greatest Showman with Benj and Justin - they're incredible and I love their music," he said. "And Good Afternoon, the song, I laughed the entire way through. It's absolutely brilliant. However, I just heard the Academy have short-listed Good Afternoon in the Best Song category."
"Ryan Reynolds getting a nomination in the Best Song Category would make the next year of my life insufferable. I have to spend a year with him shooting Wolverine And Deadpool. Trust me. It would be impossible. It would be a problem," he added. Many responded to the video with their own take, including the Merriam-Webster dictionary, which decided to create a new category for the word "insufferable", tweeting: "insufferable | adjective 1: not to be endured 2: spending a year with a newly validated Ryan Reynolds" Now, that is taking it all to the next level!
