20 Dec – Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh kept her promise to her mother, Datin Janet Yeoh by holding a small wedding banquet in her hometown of Ipoh.
The actress reportedly returned to Malaysia with husband Jean Todt on 17 December, where they held a small event at Little Katong, Ipoh, attended by over a hundred relatives and friends.
The venue has also shared several photos from the event, including the funny sign of Todt's face edited into the poster of Michelle's Bond movie, "Tomorrow Never Dies", with the word "Love Never Dies" replacing the title. Both Michelle and Todt chose casual wear, with the actress appearing at the event in a sleeveless aquamarine top and green pants, while Todt was in all black. Todt popped the question to Michelle in 2005 after dating for only a month and a half. The couple only tied the knot in July this year. The event in Malaysia was held as a way to fulfil Michelle's promise to her mother, after Datin Janet Yeoh stated that she would like for the couple to celebrate their solemnisation with the family following their Geneva wedding.
