17 Apr – Never one to forget her roots, Malaysian-Hollywood star Michelle Yeoh recently celebrated her Oscar win with friends from the Hong Kong film industry.

On 15 April, the "Everything Everywhere All At Once" actress posted several photos of her at a dinner banquet held at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong that were attended by various friends from her days of working in Hong Kong.

Among those who attended include Chow Yun Fat, Anthony Wong, Sandra Ng and partner Peter Chan, celebrity couple George Lam and Sally Yeh, as well as Donnie Yen and wife Cissy Wang.

She posted, "It was amazing night to celebrate and share my joy with those who gave me a leg up in HK. I am so so so happy to see everyone."

Michelle also reposted several Instagram Stories of good friend Sandra Ng as the latter held her Oscar trophy and jokingly made a speech, "I would like to thank Miss Michelle Yeoh."

She then turned to the actress and asked, "Can I take it home for a night? For fengshui purpose."

Meanwhile, Anthony shared a similar photo on social media and wrote, "Happy together."
