25 Oct – It looks like part two of "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning" will not be released next year as originally scheduled. The movie, which was originally slated for June 2024 release has now been pushed back to 23 May 2025, nearly a year from its original date. This stems from the SAG-AFTRA strike that began in mid-July, which hindered the cast from returning to shoot the second part.
"Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part 1" was released back in July this year, and made USD 567.5 million globally. It stars Tom Cruise alongside Simon Pegg, Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames and Vanessa Kirby.
It is noted that more movies are expected to have its schedule changed due to the strike, with "A Quiet Place: Day One" now releasing on "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 2" abandoned slot.
