15 Nov – Salman Khan's new entry, "Tiger 3" was a huge success at the box office on its opening day, which also turns out to be Diwali. As revealed by Deadline, the Bollywood star recorded his biggest opening day ever with USD 11.35 million globally, and USD 6.3 million in India - marking it the movie with the biggest Diwali opening of all time, surpassing 2013's "Krrish 3".
It also breaks the record of being the biggest opening number among all the "Tiger" movies, which include the first one, "Ek Tha Tiger".
"Tiger" is the latest in Aditya Chopra spy universe, which has Salman reprising his role as Avinash Singh Rathore aka Tiger, a spy under the Indian intelligence agency, RAW. It is noted that he is also set to reprise his role in Chopra's upcoming "Tiger vs Pathaan", which has his character face to face with Shah Rukh Khan's titular RAW character.
