25 Jun - The 7th Malaysia International Film Festival (MIFFest) is set to transform Kuala Lumpur into a cinematic paradise from 21-28 July 2024. With an exceptional array of films, MIFFest continues to celebrate the spirit of both Malaysian and international cinema.

At the press conference yesterday, the President and Founder of MIFFest, Ms. Joanne Goh announced that the festival is privileged to honour two extraordinary individuals whose contributions to cinema are truly inspiring. "Our first honorary is the Indonesian cinema icon Christine Hakim. Ibu Christine is a name that deeply resonates with us. Her journey over 50 years is what we at MIFFest are proud to celebrate today," Ms Goh enthused.

His films have a unique power, sharing light on the life for those often overlooked his ability to capture human experiences with such authenticity and empathy is mesmerising." These awards celebrate their monumental contributions to the film industry and their enduring impact on global cinema.
