20 Jun - Despite previous rumours that he will be working with Allu Arjun on his next project, it was reported that Atlee is set to collaborate with Salman Khan next.

According to sources, the director was originally scheduled to join hands with Allu Arjun in a new project following "Jawan", but that it was shelved after producers reportedly disagree with the hefty remuneration that he asked for.

With the project being cancelled, Atlee reportedly had brought his new idea to Salman Khan, who expressed his interest to do a collaboration.

The director reportedly is working on the script now, with the film to be announced under Sun Pictures. At the moment, Salman is busy filming his new movie, "Sikandar", helmed by AR Murugadoss of "Ghajini" fame.

Atlee made headlines last year after working with Shah Rukh Khan on "Jawan", which is the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023 and currently the fifth highest grossing Indian movie at USD 140 million.

"Sikandar" is set to be released on Eid 2025.
