1 Oct - Bobby Deol couldn't help but feel elated over his first ever International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) win after nearly three decades of career.

The actor, who won Best Performance in a Negative Role for his role in "Animal", bested other contenders that include John Abraham ("Pathaan") and Vijay Sethupathi ("Jawan").

Bobby also performed his iconic dance step as he received the award for his brilliant portrayal.

Sharing his thoughts on social media following his victory, Bobby posted, "Your love roared so loud at #IIFA2024. It spoke for Abrar's silence."

"THANK YOU MY FANS & AUDIENCE, I'm so so grateful for your support and love that got me back to life!! #Animal will always be a cherished film, and getting this award, an unforgettable memory," he added.

Prior to IIFA Awards, Bobby won similar accolade at the Zee Cine Awards and was nominated in Best Supporting Actor category at the Filmfare Awards.

Meanwhile, "Animal" bagged the most accolade at the said event, winning (among others) Best Film, Best Supporting Actor for Anil Kapoor, Best Music, Best Lyrics and Best Male Singer for Bhupinder Babbal and Arjan Valley.

Watch Bobby as he performed his iconic dance steps as he received the award; whereupon his character in "Animal" makes a grand entrance, dancing to the song while skillfully balancing a glass on his head.
