"C4 Cinta" is the highest grossing Malaysian Tamil movie to-date


"C4 Cinta" made RM1.13 million in just four days of release
27 Nov - "C4 Cinta", a film produced by local studios Scifilm and AVLT Production, has recently became the highest-grossing Malaysian Tamil movie to-date.

The film, helmed by young director Karthik Shamalan, was revealed to have made over RM1.13 million at the box office in just four days.

Starring Pashini Sivakumar, Viknesh Naidu, Ravin Rao Santheran, Vijay Naidu, Dishaaleny and Loga Varman, the movie tells the story of Hari, Soniya and their friends, as they navigate the complexities of rekindled relationships and unspoken truths across the vibrant landscapes of Singapore and Malaysia.

"This milestone is significant for the Malaysian Tamil film industry, which has faced challenges in gaining mainstream recognition in recent years. The success of 'C4 Cinta' is a testament to the potential of local Tamil cinema to thrive not only domestically but also on the global stage," said distributor Poketplay Films in a statement to the media.

It added, "C4 Cinta is a proud moment for the Malaysian Tamil cinema community and a celebration of local talent."
