1 Oct - David Corenswet recently revealed that he was the heaviest he ever was while preparing himself for the role of the lifetime, Superman.

The actor, who was chosen by DC Studios to portray the superhero in the upcoming movie of the same name, shared in a recent podcast called "Manly Things (Sort Of)" that he was 238 pounds (approx. 107 kg) at his max, to the extent that he couldn't fit into any of his pants.

"That was at the peak of my bulk. And then I slowly lost weight before we started shooting. I started shooting at about 228, 230... I know I wanted this to be my excuse to see what it felt like to gain essentially as much weight as I could," he said.

Corenswet also admitted the difficulty of maintaining peak weight throughout production and how his transformation didn't feel great at first because his body had not yet adjusted to the new weight.

Meanwhile, his trainer Paolo Mascitti sang praises for the actor earlier, saying that Corenswet" worked his ass off" for the movie.

"Superman: Legacy", directed by James Gunn, is set to be released in July 2025.
