19 Sep - Sean "Diddy" Combs has been denied bail following his arrest for sex trafficking and other charges.

Magistrate Judge Robyn F. Tarnofsky agreed with the U.S. Attorney's office that Combs is a danger to the public and especially potential witnesses in the detailed case against him and ordered Combs to be detained.

Prior to that, Combs' defense team offered a USD 50 million bond for the singer to be released and be detained at home instead.

Combs' main attorney Marc Agnifilo said that they will be appealing the decision.

The rapper and founder of Bad Boy Records was arrested in Manhattan on 16 September, and is now facing over half a dozen civil suits from many claiming sexual assaults and other allegations.

He was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. If found guilty, Combs will be sentenced to a life in prison.

He had since pleaded not guilty.
