8 Apr – Disney has recently announced several changes to the release dates of a few of its new movies, with "Toy Story 5" to now be released in June 2026. The fifth instalment was announced last year with a slew of other upcoming releases, including the sequel to animated feature "Moana" (not to be confused with the live-action "Moana"), as well as the Star Wars feature, "The Mandalorian & Grogu". "Moana 2" has been given the date of November 2024 for its release, and because of that, the live-action version, which will have Dwayne Johnson reprising his role as Maui, has now been pushed back to July 2026 from its original July 2025 release to give some breathing room for the sequel.
Meanwhile, "The Mandalorian & Grogu" will be released in May 2026 while "Tron: Ares" will open on October 2025. Other sequels that are in the works include "Zootopia 2" and "Frozen 3". No release dates have been determined.
